Vicor Scales up Investment in India

As part of its growth and expansion plans in India, Vicor Corporation today announced the appointment of Excelpoint Systems (Pte) Ltd. as one of its distributors in India. This association will broaden the market reach for Vicor and continues to strengthen local support to customers across its range of high-performance power solutions. This partnership is the latest initiative in Vicor's expansion in the Indian market and is an important addition to its existing channel portfolio, which already includes Future Electronics, SM Creative, and CoreEL Technologies.

Apart from expanding its distribution network, Vicor has also appointed an additional field applications engineer, based in Delhi. Vicor's high-performance power solutions cover a wide range of markets. The company has already established a strong presence in the aerospace and defense sectors in India and these new appointments will help Vicor broaden its support for the growing Indian communications and industrial markets, including telecoms and transport/rail sectors.
