Westcor, a division of Vicor Corp. (Andover, MA), is now offering two new members of its LoPAC Series of low-profile ac/dc switchers. In addition to the PFC Mini, the company has debuted the PFC MicroS and the PFC Micro.

The PFC Micro, which measures 7.95” 5.06” x 1.86”, provides up to 600W from one to three outputs, single slot. It has a power density of 8.02W/cubic-inch. The single slot can contain one full-size, two half-size or three quarter-size Vicor dc/dc converter bricks.

The PFC Micro, which measures 10.4” x 5.06” x 1.86”, provides up to 800W for a power density of 8.17W/cubic-inch. The two-slot PFC Micro can be configured for one to six outputs.

Like other models in the LoPAC Series, the PFC MicroS and the PFC Micro feature a PFC front end, an EMI filter, an off-line single-phase customer interface and a self-contained cooling fan. All units accept universal input of 85 to 264Vac, 47 to 500Hz, or 100 to 300Vdc (100 to 380Vdc for the PFC Mini).

Pricing for the PFC Micro and the PFC MicroS starts at $0.70/W for 100 pieces.
