Vicor Announces 1st Selection Pre-Defined Modules in 2nd Generation DC/DC Converters

Vicor Corp. (Andover, MA) announced that the first selection of pre-defined modules in its new 300V input family of second generation high-power density dc/dc converters is now available. Designed for off-line applications required by telecom, industrial, test and computer systems, all of the converters operate from 300V nominal input (with an input range of 180V-375V) and have power densities up to 100W/cubic inch. Available in Maxi, Mini and Micro package styles, the pre-defined 300V family offers output voltages of 2, 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24, 28 and 48Vdc. Output power from 50-500W is offered. Prices start as low as $0.38/W in 100-piece quantities.
