UltraVolt Extends Voltage Range on V & M Series of Microsize Product Lines

June 14, 2012 by Jeff Shepard

UltraVolt, Inc. announced that the V Series and M Series of microsize, micropower products have been extended. Voltage levels within the series have increased up to 100%.

V Series and M Series modules are now offered at 0 to 2kV, 0 to 2.5kV, and 0 to 3kV with 5, 12, and 24V inputs. These new extended voltages also come with an Enhanced Interface (EI) Option, which adds a current monitor and enable pins. V Series and M Series modules offer programmable regulated output, high accuracy, and low ripple (0.01% peak to peak). The volume for the V Series is just 0.84in3 , and the volume for the M Series is 1.28in3 .

"UltraVolt continues to offer amazing microsize high-voltage power supplies!", said James Morrison, CEO and CO-Founder. "These higher voltage devices enable more customers with challenging small size applications to use a high-performance, high-reliability, moderate-cost module from a company that offers great service. With the introduction of the enhanced interface option to the "V" & "M" Series, we continue Making High Voltage Easier!® by meeting the needs of our customers’ diverse applications."

The V Series and M Series are optimal for handheld devices and lightweight systems. Typical applications include avalanche photo diodes (APD), photomultiplier tubes (PMT), X-ray imaging sensors, Pockels cell, q-switches, and micro-channel plates.
