Tumbler Technologies + TRUMPower introduced the TMC100 series of 100W medical grade ac-dc switching power supplies. With dimensions being 2 x 4 x 1.26", power density of this convection-cooled series is as high as 10W/ cubic inch.

The TMC100 series is approved to medical and ITE safety standards including UL 60601-1, CSA C22.2 No. 601-1, EN60601-1, UL 60950-1 and EN60950-1. The series operates at an input voltage anywhere from 90-132 and 180-264Vac. There are 8 standard models with output voltages ranging from 5 to 48Vdc. The power supplies come with overvoltage and overcurrent protections. Withstand voltage is 4000Vac from input to output, 1500Vac from input to ground, 500Vac from output to ground. Earth leakage current is as low as 150µA max @ 264 VAC/63 Hz.

The TMC100 series can be fully loaded at -10 to +70°C ambient, with derating required from 100% at +50°C linearly to 50% at +70°C. The series offers high reliability with MTBF of 270,000 hours at full load at 25°C ambient, calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F. The units comply with EN61000-3-2 class A, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-11, in addition to EN55011, EN55022, FCC/VCC class B conducted and class A radiated EMC standards. It achieves an efficiency of 87-90% and is compliant with RoHS requirements. A cover and fan assembly is optional and can be added during manufacturing.
