Tectrol Announces New TCR-1350 Rectifier Module

July 22, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Tectrol Inc. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada), a leading global manufacturer of platform and custom power supply solutions, announced its new TCR-1350, a compact rectifier module that delivers up to 1,350 W in a 1.5U profile. The TCR-1350 delivers power output by maintaining full power with no de-rating up to 65 °C (149 °F).

The TCR-1350’s high power output and thermal efficiency makes it suitable for deployment in telecommunications, cable and wireless infrastructure applications where outdoor installations require efficient operation at high temperatures, provide minimal space and have low acoustic noise tolerance.

Measuring 2.5 in x 5.2 in x 11.75 in, the TCR-1350 provides 9 W/in³ at a power efficiency in excess of 90% at high line operation. The TCR-1350 is available in several standard configurations providing 20 V to 28 V or 40 V to 56 V nominal outputs from 100 Vac to 240 Vac input lines.

The TCR-1350 can be deployed as part of the Tectrol TCPR-3U Power System, which adds low voltage disconnect, a controller card for battery management and a communications interface. The TCPR-3U supports up to four TCR-1350 modules allowing scalability up to 5,400 W with non-redundant parallel operation or N+1 redundancy with hot-swap of individual rectifier modules.
