Successful Completion & Qualification of ERC Battery Corp in China

Evercel Inc. (Danbury, CT) announced the successful completion and qualification of the Xiamen Three Circles-ERC Battery Corp. Ltd. (China) manufacturing facility in Xiamen, China. Evercel also announced that Xiamen Three Circles-ERC Battery has received its first production order from Xiamen Bicycle Company (China) and that shipment of Evercel's nickel-zinc rechargeable battery will begin this month. Evercel's Danbury facility is continuing to manufacture sample quantities of the batteries for worldwide technical verification and test requests.The batteries in the initial production order from Xiamen Bicycle will be used to power electric bicycles for mail delivery by the Xiamen China Post Office Department. Xiamen Bicycle plans to expand its business into the consumer market this fall with a full family of electric bicycles powered by Evercel nickel-zinc batteries.
