DEDL Introduces Modular PV Solar Module/ Array Simulator
DEDL has released Solar PV module and array simulator with advanced features that simulates I-V curve of any type of PV module using intelligent front end software to enable module/array performance under different conditions like temperature, irradiance etc. It is a programmable dc power source that simulates output characteristics of any type of PV solar module and array.
The simulated output is primarily a current source with fast response and is supported with intelligent front-end software that simulates any curve based on Voc, Isc, Vmp, Imp parameters or manually programmed points. It provides simulation of Voc (open circuit voltage) up to 121V and Isc (short circuit current) up to 10.5A. The source is highly stable and has a fast transient response design, which are both advantageous for MPPT performance evaluation on PV inverter devices.
The PC screen shows the power profile automatically through Soft Panel based on user defined Vmp, Imp, Voc and Isc. In manual mode user can define 50 current and voltage points for the SAS120/10 to emulate a PV solar module with up to 72 cells by performing linear approximation between points to provide a smooth output curve.

Energy Efficiency with Class D Amplifier Modules
Class-D switching amplifiers are helping audio designers create personal multimedia devices and home audio/visual systems that demonstrate how compact and stylish equipment can also deliver high sound quality and high audio output power. The key to this breakthrough, providing freedom from the large and bulky boxes housing traditional audio products, lies in the class-D amplifier’s high energy efficiency, which is typically around 90%. This allows designers to reduce or eliminate heatsinks as well as using smaller-sized PCBs and smaller components such as transformers, connectors and power supplies.

The Role of Hall Effect Sensors in Power Distribution Infrastructure
Power distribution units (PDUs) form an essential part of modern computing and data communications hardware. They provide multiple outputs for transferring electrical power with maximum efficiency, controlling the power capacity and safeguarding against the possible causes of supply interruption. With an ever increasing need from tech savvy consumers for higher data throughput and greater quantities of data storage capacity, as well as tough international legislation now governing CO&sub2; emissions, the demands being placed on these units are proving challenging for engineering teams to satisfy.
