UNIPOWER Announces Hot Swap 1500W Front-Ends and Rectifiers

UNIPOWER LLC announced the auro-he Series modular front-ends and rectifiers capable of producing up to 1500W from a 1U (1.6in) high enclosure. These are hot swappable, high efficiency (92%) units featuring a power density of 18.75W/in³ and output voltages of 48 and 54.4Vdc. A 5V/1A standby output is also included across the series.

The auro-he Series includes three standard models all with automatic load sharing and ORing circuitry as well as an I²C serial bus for external monitoring and control. Four auro-he units can be specified as a 19in power shelf delivering up to 6000W.

The units work from a wide ac input range with >0.98 power factor and operate from -20 to +70°C although they will start-up at temperatures as low as -40°C but with reduced performance. Cooling is by dual-speed fans.

Front panel LEDs indicate ac input and dc output status and input and overvoltage protection is standard as is a Class B EMI filter.
