Spellman Presents New MX10 DC/DC Converter

September 23, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corp. (Hauppauge, NY) introduced its new MX10 well-regulated, high-performance, dc/dc converter, which features hot-switchable polarity reversal at 10kV between 100ms and 250ms. The MX10’s low peak-to-peak ripple performance makes it suitable for mass spectrometry applications; especially security detection systems, LC-TOF dynode, sample ionization, and capillary electrophoresis and electrostatic printing applications.

The MX10’s 10kV at 1µA (also available to 100µA) output comes in a metal enclosure that provides EMI shielding. The unit features remote inputs to control polarity reversal, enable/inhibit and monitoring of the output. Easily customized to meet OEM requirements, the 168mm x 115mm x 40mm, +24Vdc input model can be provided with current control, improved ripple performance and higher kilovolt and milliamp outputs.
