Sorensen Announces New DLM Series of DC Power Supplies

August 07, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Sorensen (San Diego, CA), a division of the Elgar Corp., recently introduced its DLM Series of 3kW and 4kW programmable dc power supplies. The systems are designed to provide highly stable, continuously variable output-voltage and current for a range of applications in a compact 2U-high chassis.

The 4kW power rating is new to the Sorensen family of power supplies. Both the 3kW and 4kW models have output voltages from 0Vdc to 5Vdc, to 0Vdc to 600Vdc. They both have a current range from 0A to 5A, to 0A to 450A. The output rms noise is as low as 10mV. The output will recover to one percent of its steady-state voltage within 1ms for a step-load change of 100 percent to 70 percent, or 70 percent to 100 percent.

The 3kW model will accept 200Vac/230Vac, single-phase and 200Vac/208Vac three-phase input power. The 4kW models will accept 200Vac/208Vac, three-phase or optional 400Vac/480Vac, three-phase input power.

The DLM Series is currently available, priced from $2,650. All models carry the CE, UL and cUL marks.
