SMD Transient Voltage Suppressors

June 22, 2017 by Jeff Shepard

NIC Components Corp. announced the addition of transient voltage suppressors to their circuit protection portfolio with the new NDTV series. Adding to NIC's current line of over voltage circuit protection devices the NDTV TVS diodes offer exceptional performance in power (peak-to-peak) ratings up to 5000W. Standard DO-214 packages include SMA, SMB and SMC in both uni-directional and bi-directional circuit options.

Peak pulse power ratings (10/1000 μs waveform) are 400W for SMA packages, 600W for SMB packages and 1500W / 3000W / 5000W options for SMC packages. Together with operating voltage ratings from 5V to 75V, the new NDTV series offers a total of 342 unique orderable part numbers.

The NDTV Series has an operating temperature range of -55 to +150 degrees C, meets PB-Free reflow conditions up to 260 degrees C and is RoHS Compliant without exemptions, halogen free and REACH SVHC 169 compliant. Together with NIC's full focus lineup of performance passives the NDTV series is a natural fit for protecting against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and offering protection against voltage transients.
