Shanghai Fudan Microelectronics Reports Financial Results

Shanghai Fudan Microelectronics Co. Ltd. (China) announced that it returned to the black with a net profit of $4,096 for the three months ended March, 2001. In comparison, the company lost about $28,000 in the year-earlier quarter. The company makes power control ICs and ballast control ICs for use in telecommunications, automotive and power supply applications.

Shanghai Fudan Microelectric states that revenue rose 104.4 percent to a little under $1 million. Earnings per share were RMB0.01, compared with a loss of RMB0.06 one year earlier. No first-quarter dividend was proposed either this year or last.
