Sensitron Semi Releases IM Series of 1W DC/DC Converters

May 08, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Sensitron Semiconductor (Deer Park, NY) released the IM Series of isolated miniature 1W dc/dc converters. These converters are suitable for use in distributed power systems, telecommunications equipment, datacom equipment, instrumentation products and microprocessor-based systems. The series is available in 5, 12, 15, 24 and 48V levels, in single-output packages with output voltages of 5, 9, 12 and 15V. They require no external components for operation.

The IM Series comes packaged in 0.768" x 0.380" x 0.230" SIP packaging or 0.803" x 0.402" x 0.248" DIP style. Sensitron claims that the converters have typical efficiencies of up to 75 percent, on the 48V model. The IM Series consists of 40 models featuring 1,000Vdc isolation for positive or negative output voltage configurations. The output voltage accuracy is ±5 percent, and the operating temperature range is between -40 to 85 degrees C, with deratings.

Samples of the IM Series are currently available by request.
