Powerware Adds Powerware 3115 UPS to Series 3 UPS

April 18, 1999 by Jeff Shepard

Powerware Corp. (Raleigh, NC) introduced the Powerware 3115 uninterruptible power system, intended for use with PCs, workstations, point-of-sale systems, network nodes, or similar equipment. The latest addition to Powerware's Series 3 UPSs, the Powerware 3115 is available in 120Vac models with 300, 420 and 650VA power ratings. The Powerware 3115 is designed to provide complete protection from power failure, power sags and power surges. The UPS also incorporates a user-replaceable battery pack, and features a start-on-battery feature that allows it to start up using battery power in the absence of utility power. Offering a small footprint and a flush-fit wall plug, the Powerware 3115 is designed to work in stand-alone or network environments. The UPS includes a communications port and is bundled with Powerware's LanSafe III and FailSafe III power management software package to provide basic monitoring and control, such as power loss and low battery detection. Users can be alerted of power problems via e-mail, paging or audible alarm.
