PowerLight Corp. (Berkeley, CA) announced that it will install what is claimed to be the largest commercial, solar, rooftop, electric system in North America at Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. (Torrance, CA) headquarters. The 501kW solar system, which covers 52,000ft² and features 3,300 solar-electric tiles, will be installed by fall of 2002 at Toyota's South Campus expansion project.
