PowerDsine to Announce Two New PoE Products at Interop

December 08, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

PowerDsine will launch two new PoE products at Interop New York 2005 next week at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. Beginning December 13, Interop New York attendees will be able to view PowerDsine's new line of PoE Midspans as well as its latest integrated PoE chip for Ethernet switch vendors.

PowerDsine's PoE Midspan solution is an intelligent PoE injector installed between an Ethernet switch and end-devices, such as VoIP phones, wireless LAN access points and IP surveillance cameras. The PowerDsine PoE Midspans increase enterprise network productivity by leveraging existing network infrastructure and eliminating the need to replace legacy Ethernet switches. PoE Midspans minimize installation costs and reduce deployment times associated with roll-outs of IP telephony systems, wireless LANs and IP-based surveillance systems.

In addition, PowerDsine PoE Midspans, which are compliant with the IEEE 802.3af PoE standard, support Web-based remote management and are available in one-, six-, 12-, 24- and 48-port versions to accommodate the needs of all enterprise environments.
