Power Trends Intros PT6670 ISR Series

Power Trends Inc. (Warrenville, IL) introduced the PT6670 Series of 3.3V input 20W boost Integrated Switching Regulators (ISRs). The new devices offer fixed output voltages of +5V/4A, +9V/2.2A and +12V/1.7A. The fixed output voltage is also adjustable with an external resistor. It is suited for use in systems that have converted to 3.3V power rails, but which still use some 5V or 12V powered ICs, according to Power Trends.The PT6670 devices boast an 85 percent conversion efficiency and feature remote sense and soft start. Housed in Power Trends' 14-pin SIP package, the devices are available in vertical, horizontal and surface-mount configurations. The PT6640 is priced at $17.50 in quantities of 1,000.
