Power-One Unveils ESP4 Series Power Supplies

June 25, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Power-One Inc. (Camarillo, CA) introduces the ESP4 Series, the first in a new line of mid-power, modular, ac/dc power supplies. The series includes a 400W and a 600W chassis, both offered in power-dense 2.56in x 5in x 10.63in packages. Five single-output and two dual-output modules can be configured in series or parallel to provide up to eight outputs from 1.45Vdc to 58Vdc.

The ESP4 Series features a wide-range input (88Vac to 264Vac) and is compliant to EN61000-3-2 (PFC) and Class B conducted emissions. The series also meets the EMC requirements of EN61000-4-2, -3, -4, -5, -6 and -11. Safety agency approvals include UL and cUL. Standard options include input power fail, global enable or inhibit, and a bias output supply. Individual output modules have a power-good signal, output-inhibit and remote adjust.

Availability is typically two weeks for small quantities and four to six weeks for production quantities. Depending on the specific configuration, 250-piece pricing for four-module configurations of the 400W and 600W chassis is approximately $480 and $500, respectively.
