Power Measurement Debuts the New 7600 ION Three-Phase Digital Power Meter

October 22, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Power Measurement Ltd. (BC, Canada) debuted a new 7600 ION three-phase digital power meter, which combines power quality reporting functions with analysis capabilities.

The 7600 ION monitors comply with international power-quality standards and can be configured to accommodate other industry-specific standards. Power-quality parameters are measured over time and summarized by the meter as power-quality indices. These are then reported by PM's Pegasys software, which reports information from the entire metering network.

The new meter features an increased waveform-sampling rate of 256 samples per cycle. High-resolution sampling also enables harmonic-distortion measurement. In addition, the 7600 ION meter offers a variety of communications alternatives, including standard RS-232, RS-485 and optical ports.

The 7600 ION meter is available now.
