Power General Releases the HD1-300 Series of High-Density DC/DC Converters

Power General (Canton, MA), a manufacturer of ac/dc switching power supplies and dc/dc converters, recently released a new series of high-density dc/dc converters designed specifically for telecom and datacom applications. Models in the HD1-300 Series provide 5V or 3.3V output at up to 60A.

According to Power General, the converters are supplied in an industry-standard 4.6" x 2.4" x 0.5" full brick package with pinouts identical to those of the Lucent Technologies FW300 Series. The HD1-300 Series has an input voltage range of 36Vdc to 75Vdc with no minimum load requirement. Both the 3.3V and the 5V model include integral under-voltage recovery.

The HD1-300-3D and HD1-300-5D are priced at $141.90 each in lots of 1,000 units. Units with installed heatsinks are priced at $148.40 in the same quantity.
