Portescap Displays New Motor Products

February 19, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

At the 2001 Drives and Controls Exhibition, Portescap (Switzerland) will be devoting its stand entirely to the range of new products which they introduced in recent months. These include an 8mm-diameter motor that they claim delivers 50 percent more torque than other motors of similar size, as well as a range of miniature planetary gearboxes, available with ratios from 4:1 to 4096:1. Also on show for the first time are 16mm dc motors, plastic-bodied spur gearboxes, and three new brushless 22mm motors, which have running speeds of up to 50,000 rpm.

All products on display will be available for visitors to inspect and examine. In light of the size of many of the items, magnifying glasses are also available. Portescap is a subsidiary of the Danaher Motion Components Group, a part of the multinational Danaher Corp.
