Phihong USA (Fremont, CA) introduced the new 10W PSA-10A ac adapter, which measures just 85mm x 54mm x 19.8 mm, small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. The adapter features a 3-position flip-plug that will plug into any standard 2-prong NEMA wall outlet. Output power is provided via a 1-meter long cable with a standard 2.1mm x 5.5mm coaxial plug on the end.
The PSA-10A is intended for computer, computer peripheral and portable instrument applications, including laptop computers and portable fax machines. Available in six single-output models with voltages from 3.3V to 24V, the adapter incorporates 90-264Vac universal output, allowing it to operate from any worldwide line voltage. In addition, the double-insulated adapter requires only two ac input conductors, eliminating the need for a ground connection which is not available in countries with simple two-wire ac power distribution grids.
