OutBack Power Launches Radian Series Inverter/Charger for the Commercial & Residential Market

July 10, 2011 by Jeff Shepard

OutBack Power unveiled the Radian Series Inverter/Charger, which the company describes as an innovation in the renewable energy market that delivers a new standard of quality, durability and dependability.

The Radian Series is designed from the ground up to simplify the design and installation of grid-interactive and stand-alone power systems, and provide a powerful tool to allow distributors and installers to achieve a successful implementation of renewable energy independence and security.

"The Radian Series Inverter/Charger is a true innovation in the off-grid and grid-interactive markets," said Phil Undercuffler, Director of Product Management and Strategy for OutBack Power. "We’re excited by the response and orders we’ve already received for this product in our pre-launch introductions to partners and distributors."

The Radian Series Inverter/Charger is backed by OutBack Power’s reputation of quality, with low failure rates, built-in redundancy, and an established design with simplified interface that makes it reliable and easy to use. And because all products are designed, engineered and manufactured in the USA, availability and turnaround of needed parts and service is best-in-class.

Other key features of the Radian Series Inverter/Charger include: grid-interactive and stand-alone capability in the same package; 8000W of continuous power; 120/240V split-phase power; dual ac inputs; flexible design for systems between 8 and 80kW; and built on OutBack Power’s core FX FET board technology. In-field and remote customer service support further minimizes "windshield time" for distributors and installers, furthering OutBack’s reputation for "no hassle" problem solving and fast turnaround.

"I’ve been able to trust OutBack Power for years, and the Radian Series Inverter/Charger takes their product line, performance and reliability to a new level," said David Katz, Founder and CTO of AEE Solar. "We’re already seeing significant demand for it, and expect this line will help accelerate our sales and customer growth in the months to come."
