NIC Components Europe Intros NPX Series Capacitors

NIC Components Europe Ltd., a subsidiary of NIC Components Corp. (Melville, NY), introduced a new range of radial-leaded, interference-suppression film capacitors, the NPX Series, which has safety agency approvals from numerous bodies, including UL and CSA. All parts from the range are lead-free and fully RoHS-compliant.

The devices have a metallized polypropylene, moulded-box construction and a specification that includes X2 across-the-line (250 Vac/275 Vac) rating. The NPX Series also offers a capacitance range of 1,000 pF to 1.0 µF, and an operating temperature range of -40 °C to +100 °C.

Applications for the NPX Series capacitors exist in products such as power supplies, power-management circuits, power inverters, voltage doublers and ac-dc convertors. Parts can be supplied on tape for high-speed insertion to help reduce PCB assembly costs.
