Murata to Transfer AC Line Filter Business to Tokyo Parts

April 11, 2017 by Jeff Shepard

Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Tokyo Parts Industrial Co., Ltd. have reached an agreement under which Murata will transfer its ac line filter business to Tokyo Parts. Moving forward, both parties will jointly carry out preparations with the aim of completing the transfer of the business by January 2018.

Tokyo Parts has served as a manufacturer dedicated to electric and electronic parts for half a century since its founding. They provide components that match the needs of customers around the world, thanks to their technical manufacturing capabilities cultivated through collaboration with Japanese and global companies, an ability to devise flexible concepts, and their broad-minded technical development capabilities.

This follows the announcement last week that Murata and Nichicon Corporation have signed a letter of intent that confirms Murata's intent to transfer part of its power supply business to Nichicon. The two parties plan to execute a transfer agreement by the end of May 2017.
