Murata Commences Mass Production of 270 nH 0603 (EIA 0201) Chip Inductor

Murata announced what is claimed to be the world's first 270 nH chip inductor available in a 0603 (EIA 0201) sized package measuring 0.6 x 0.3 x 0.3 mm. Extending the LQP series line-up of ultra compact high frequency inductors that previously were available from 0.6 to 120 nH, the LQP03TN-02 series now adds inductance values from 150 to 270 nH.

Specifically targeting high frequency circuits in smart phones, cellular phones and other small portable wireless devices the production of such large inductor values have been possible by applying Murata's unique microfabrication technology and by revising the internal structure. Inductance deviation is within ±5% and the inductors have a high Q factor of 5. Mass production commenced during August 2012.
