Motorola AIEG Receives 1999 GM Supplier of the Year Award

The Motorola Automotive and Industrial Electronics Group (AIEG, Northbrook, IL), a business unit of Motorola's Integrated Electronic Systems Sector (IESS), was recently awarded the 1999 GM Supplier of the Year Award for its contribution to GM's improvement efforts for quality, service, technology and price.AIEG received the annual award for its performance on powertrain control modules, which are electronic controllers that manage fuel consumption, emissions performance and responsiveness to driver demand. The award was presented in Munich, Germany.Motorola AIEG's products include powertrain electronics and systems, chassis electronics, body electronics, sensors and power controls.
