Merrifield & Meldrum Join Darnell's Board

Darnell.Com Inc. (Corona, CA) announced the appointments of Dr. D. Bruce Merrifield and John C. Meldrum to the company's Board of Directors. Dr. Merrifield and Mr. Meldrum are the first outside directors appointed to the board.Dr. Merrifield is president and CEO of the Pridco Management Company (Washington, DC). He is Professor Emeritus of the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is a chaired professor of management, and currently is the Distinguished Visiting Professor of Management at Georgetown University in Washington. During the Reagan Administration, he was assistant secretary of the Department of Commerce for Technology and undersecretary for Economic Affairs. Prior to his government service, he was vice president of technology and venture management for the Continental Group.While at the Department of Commerce, Dr. Merrifield was instrumental in developing the legislation for the Limited Liability Partnership business model that is the centerpiece of Darnell's aggressive growth plans.Mr. Meldrum is a vice president of finance for Celestica Corp. (Toronto, Canada). He was previously CFO of VXI Electronics and has 30 years of corporate financial management experience with multi-national companies, including Advanced Technology Laboratories, Schlumberger Ltd. and Hyster Co. This experience includes four expatriate as-signments, with a broad spectrum of financial and op-erational management responsibilities in Europe and North America.
