LTRIM Technologies Offers LTR8333 POR Digital Supervisor

January 25, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

LTRIM Technologies (Montreal, Canada) announced the LTR8333 Power-On Reset (POR) digital system supervisor virtual component IP, which is used to monitor the power supply voltage of critical digital blocks in system-on-chip (SoC) applications. A reset signal is activated when it detects out-of-tolerance power supply conditions.

The LTR8333 provides an ultra-low supply current, less than 2.9 µA for a 1.7 V to 3.3 V input-voltage range. The LTR8333 guarantees the reset output state to remain valid for Vcc down to 0.7 V. The high-performance POR virtual component includes a voltage reference and asynchronous counter blocks, eliminating the need for external components and increasing target applications. Other features include ±3% voltage accuracy over a temperature range of -55 °C to +125 °C, customized reset timeout period, and Vcc transient immunity.
