Littelfuse Introduces the SP0501BAC TVS Avalanche Diode

Littelfuse Inc. (Des Plaines, IL) has introduced its first TVS avalanche diode. The SP0501BAC, in a 0402 chip size, is suitable for high-speed signal line protection in hand-held and portable devices such as digital cameras, mobile phones, MP3 players, PDAs and laptop computers. It can also be employed in broadband and Internet applications such as DSL modems, LAN equipment, STBs and desktop computers.
The SP0501BAC has a 1.0mm x 0.5mm footprint. It has a 30pF capacitance, a 13V capacitance and sub-nanosecond response time. Littelfuse reports that it has a low leakage current and is suitable for high-density, space-sensitive applications.
