LinMot (Rogers, MN) debuted the new one- and two-axis E-VF Series of servo amplifiers. Designed to interface with standard motion control products, the new servo amplifiers allow LinMot's industrial linear motors to be integrated into existing multi-axis systems. No external linear position encoder is required.
Interfacing is accomplished through a ±10V analog velocity or force output with encoder-simulated output signals. Standard incremental A/B outputs close the position loop. This is intended to allow users to utilize the internal position sensors of LinMot motors, without requiring additional sensors. LinMot claims that accuracy to 0.00004 inches can be achieved.
