Linear Technology Corp. (LTC, Milpitas, CA) introduced the LTC2433-1, a low-noise, low-cost, 16-bit, analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The LTC2433-1 offers noise performance of 1.45µVRMS, enabling 16-bit performance over a wide reference range of 100mV to 5V. A 100mV reference resolves a differential input signal of ±50mV to 16-bits without the need of a PGA, allowing direct digitization of many sensors. In a 10-pin, MSOP package less than half the size of an SO-8, the LTC2433-1 can fit within the shell of a sensor or transducer.
Offered in the 10-pin, MSOP, the LTC2433-1 is available in both commercial and industrial temperature ranges. Pricing begins at $1.95 each in 1,000-piece quantities.
