FDK Corporation expands their power conversion portfolio with the introduction of the Tomodachi Brick series of isolated power module. As announced previously, these modules are licensed from GE Energy and are fully-compatible with GE Energy Hammerhead products. These modules operate ultra-wide input voltage range from 18Vdc to 75Vdc that covers both 24Vin and 48Vin and provide a tightly-regulated output voltages. There are three modules, 3.3Vdc/15A, 5Vdc/10A and 12Vdc/4.2A.
The Tomodachi Brick modules are offered in DOSA standard 1/16th Brick footprint, 1.3†x 0.9†(33 x 22.9mm) in both through-hole and SMD package. They are targeted toward telecommunications, data communications, and industrial applications where board space, cost, efficiency, and reliable operation in elevated temperature environments are critical. These modules employ output overcurrent/voltage protection, over-temperature protection, remote ON/OFF and output voltage margining.

All Tomodachi Brick series products are RoHS II compliant. They are manufactured using FDK’s state-of-the-art in-house manufacturing processes and systems. In quantities of 1,000, the module prices $16.
