International Rectifier Corp. (El Segundo, CA) has agreed to license its power MOSFET/IGBT patents to ON Semiconductor (Austin, TX) through a worldwide royalty-bearing pact. The agreement, retroactive until Jan. 1, effectively settles litigation between the two companies. ON Semiconductor will now pay ongoing royalties on worldwide sales covered by the licensed International Rectifier patents.
