IP67-Rated Cable Assemblies for the IoT

July 18, 2017 by Paul Shepard

Stewart Connector, a Bel group company, announced the SealJack™ Cable Applied Series, providing reliability and functionality that is necessary when Ethernet is utilized in harsh environment applications. The SealJack series is suited to support connectivity for devices within the Internet of Things (IoT) umbrella where reliability and functionality are necessary as Ethernet applications move from a typical office to harsher environments.

Stewart Connector’s IP67 rated SealJack Cable Applied Series are pre-assembled cable assemblies that can be customized with IP67 and RJ45 ends using CAT5e or CAT6 shielded/unshielded cable, offered in a variety of lengths depending on the application requirements.

Stewart’s Modular Plugs utilize a load bar and wire aligner for consistent and reliable connections with the cable while a robust IP67 shell ensures environmental factors will not interfere with either data or power over Ethernet (POE) transmission.

The Modular Jacks use fast and convenient punch down IDC termination for continuous connection. For field termination requirements, Stewart Connector offers an IP67 rated plug kit.
