Intel Chairman Andy Grove Receives 2000 IEEE Medal of Honor

Intel (Santa Clara, CA) chairman Andy Grove received the 2000 IEEE Medal of Honor at the annual IEEE Honors Ceremony on June 24, 2000, in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. The Institute's highest award recognizes Grove "for pioneering research in characterizing and modeling metal oxide semiconductor devices and technology, and leadership in the development of the modern semiconductor industry." The IEEE Medal of Honor is sponsored by the IEEE Foundation.The IEEE also recognized 16 other individuals for their contributions to electrical, electronics and computer engineering, as well as to their respective professions.
