HIOKI Launches 3-Phase Digital Power Meters

HIOKI E.E. Corporation has launched two new digital 3-phase power meters, models PW3336 and PW3337. Manufacturers of consumer electronics such as household appliances and audiovisual devices as well as industrial equipment such as servers, machine tools and large air-conditioning systems are competing to improve the energy-saving performance of their products. The drive toward energy efficiency demands power measuring equipment with a high degree of precision for use in assessing energy savings, power consumption, and energy efficiency. HIOKI’s two-channel PW3336 and three-channel PW3337 three-phase ac-dc digital power meters were developed in response to these stringent needs.

Both Hioki digital power measuring devices can take direct-input measurements of large currents of up to 65A while maintaining measurement accuracy of 0.15%. Used with an optional clamp sensor, the power meters can also measure up to 5000A AC. In addition to built-in harmonic analysis functionality, the PW3336 and PW3337 Power Meters provide GP-IB, LAN, D/A output and other interfaces to better accommodate a variety of testing situations.
