Glary Unveils CTH485033ABCD-2525 DC-DC Module

June 14, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Glary Power Technology (Taichung, Taiwan) unveiled its new CTH485033ABCD-2525 half-brick, dc-dc module, which is based on the company's "Two Converters Inside" concept utilizing patented "Buck Reset" SR technology for high flexibility. The new device is suitable for sensitive communications systems, and the reduced component count circuit design provides a cost-effective solution for multiple-voltage systems to replace bus converter and several point-of-load converters of intermediate bus architectures.

The 0.34 in high module offers over 90% conversion efficiency; an input-voltage range of 36 V to 75 V with -40 °C to +110 °C base temperature range; a 1.5 kVdc isolation rating between primary to secondary; and full protection functions such as over-voltage and over-temperature protection, and input under-voltage lockout. The module offers an output-voltage trim facility that enables the output to be adjusted between 90% and 110% of nominal; the option of remote control logic is available for different control signals.

Available now, the price is $64 each for 1,000-unit quantities for the 25 A + 25 A version, and $41 each for OEM quantities in this series.
