Free Power Seminar Hosted by Darnell

The week of October 26, Darnell Group will host a series of free seminars on "Trends in Electronic Power Conversion: milliWatts to MegaWatts" in a series of 4 U.S. cities including Boston, Chicago, Dallas, and San Francisco. These invitation-only seminars will be presented by Jeff Shepard, President and Founder of Darnell Group.

"These seminars are one way for us to give something back to the industry," stated Shepard. "They will cover a wide range of topics and present forward-looking and actionable market intelligence about the future direction of numerous market and technology segments."

The first hour covers dc-dc converters, ac-dc power supplies, solid-state lighting and digital power conversion. Seminar delegates will hear why the ac-dc market is set to grow faster than the dc-dc market for the first time in over 20 years.

The next hour looks at evolving trends in energy harvesting at the milliWatt and MegaWatt levels. Discussions of system architectures, energy storage technologies and related devices will be included in this wide-ranging session.

The final hour digs deeply into emerging market trends in vehicle electrification and dc power distribution in commercial and industrial buildings. Finally, an African "safari" will show how certain locations in Africa are emerging as manufacturing hubs for servicing European markets.
