June 04, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Empire Magnetics Inc. (Rohnert Park, CA) announced its new stainless motors for deep-sea and marine applications. These motors are built to customer specifications based on specific application requirements. They are available in three frame sizes with minor dimensional increases. Size 23, 34 and 42 motors feature industry-standard shaft, pilot and bolt circle dimensions with a round mounting flange, with square flange versions also available.

The new motors position control surfaces on sub-sea vehicles, actuators on submersible experiments, hydrophone arrays and hydrofoil flaps.
