Emerson Joins The Green Grid to Improve Data Center Energy Efficiency
Emerson announced that it has joined The Green Grid, a non-profit consortium dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in data centers and business computing ecosystems. Emerson will participate in The Green Grid as a contributing member through its Emerson Network Power business.
Emerson Network Power stated that it will work closely with The Green Grid’s many members to develop meaningful operating standards, measurement methods, processes and new technologies to improve energy efficient performance of global data centers as the demand for computing power continues to rise at an accelerating rate.
"The Green Grid provides an ideal forum for industry leaders to come together and discuss new approaches to increasing energy efficiency, while promoting and building upon best practices and recognized successes," said David Farr, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Emerson. "With our active membership in this important industry consortium, Emerson has a new platform for sharing our proven experience and joining forces on energy efficient solutions that will have a broader impact across the industry than any single company could accomplish."
