E-One Moli Introduces New Li-Ion Battery For Power Application

E-One Moli Energy Corp. has introduced its new generation of high power lithium-ion battery. E-one Moli uses what it describes as advanced spinel technology to develop a new formula of high power lithium-ion battery. The new generation of manganese (spinel)-based lithium-ion battery is said to feature great rate capability and superior cycle life. It is intended to match the LiFePO4 cell with longer cycle and calendar life.

The company claims that the new high power battery offers a capacity retention rate of more than 80% after 1200 cycles and excellent safety, even under harsh environments. With the advanced spinel technology, E-One Moli claims that it provides the industry with a new level of power source that promises high power density, excellent safety, long cycle life, and low material cost.

"It could be a new platform in cordless power tools, cordless garden tools, electric bicycles, HEV and PHEV," said by Dr. Wang, the R&D Director of E-one Moli.
