Deltron Introduces New L Series of Power Supplies

February 05, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Deltron Inc. (North Wales, PA) has introduced a new series of compact hot-swap, 200W power supplies in a 1U high package. The new L Series ac/dc power supplies provide 7W per cubic inch power density in a 1.58" x 1.86" x 10.08" package. Units can be used alone or combined to provide multiple outputs for powering a wide variety of computing and telecommunications applications. Optional droop current sharing with isolation diodes form the basis of a hot-pluggable, redundant system.

Features of the single-output L Series include a 0.95 power factor and 80 percent typical efficiency. The power supplies are self-cooled, with an integral ball-bearing fan, and feature a rugged enclosed chassis and interfaces for high reliability and safety.

Deltron offers six models, ranging in output from 1.8V at 35A to 48V at 4.2A. Standard features of each unit include over-voltage protection, overload and short-circuit protection, and reverse voltage protection. All L Series power supplies meet international EMI and safety standards and harmonics requirements.

Pricing for Series L power supplies starts at $197 in quantities of one. Delivery is stock to six weeks.
