Dallas Semi Announces Record Net Sales for the Year

Dallas Semiconductor Corp. (Dallas, TX) recently announced record net sales of $392.4 million for the year ended January 2, 2000, up 15 percent compared to $342.6 million for the same period last year.According to Dallas Semiconductor, net income for 1999 was a record $68.3 million, or $2.21 per share, up 23 percent compared to $55.4 million, or $1.85 per share for 1998. Net sales for the fourth quarter of 1999 were $108.2 million, up 27 percent compared to $85.0 million for the fourth quarter of 1998. Net income for the fourth quarter of 1999 were $19.5 million, or $0.62 per share, up 34 percent compared to $14.5 million, or $0.48 per share, for the fourth quarter of 1998.
