January 09, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Condor Inc. (Oxnard, CA) recently introduced the GLC65 and GLM65 Series power supplies available in seven different single-output configurations with 65W requirements. Designed for 65W continuous output with convection cooling, the new power supplies have 5V to 48V requirements and accept universal ac input.

Condor claims that the new power supplies have up to 90 percent efficiency, which allows systems to meet IEC 1000-3-2, Class A harmonic requirements. The company also claims that the total power drawn will be below the IEC requirement for adding additional circuitry for power-factor correction.

The power supplies are available in two versions, GLC65 commercial and GLM medical. Compliance is also provided for international safety requirements, including UL, CSA and IEC applicable specifications for the GLC65 commercial version, and UL2601; CSA22.2, No. 601.1; and EN 60601-1 requirements for the GLM65 medical version.

Pricing for the GLC65 is $59.20 each, and $56.20 each for the GLM65 in OEM quantities.
