Chroma ATE Intros Programmable DC Power Supply

March 01, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Chroma ATE Inc. (Irvine, CA), a supplier of power supply testing equipment, introduced its new 62000P Series Programmable DC Power Supplies designed for ATE integration. The 62000P has a "constant power" operating envelopment, 16-bit readback accuracy for output current and voltage, ability to generate dc transients, and output trigger signals for synchronization of other devices within the system.

The 62000P Series is offered in four models ranging from 600 W to 1,200 W, up to 160 A and up to 600 V. The devices are suitable for dc-dc converters and inverter voltage drop testing, engine start-up simulation, battery automated charging, electronic product life cycle test, and many ATE applications. The 62000P offers delivery of both low-voltage/high-current and high-voltage/low-current constant power; high-accuracy feedback with 16-bit readback capability; fast and accurate readings of output V and I measurements; and I/O ports providing 8-bit TTLs, dc-ON, fault-output signal, remote-inhibit, and an output-trigger signal for system timing measurements. The 6200P can also generate complex dc transient waveforms, allowing the devices to be tested to dc voltage dropouts, spikes and other voltage variations.

The 62000P Series starts at $1,595 for the 600 W, 30 A, 80 V Model 62006P-80-30. The 1,200 W models offer output voltage and current up to 600 V and 160 A, starting at $2,195. Deliveries are from stock to four weeks ARO.
