California Micro Devices Introduces New CMC7106 CMOS Operational Amplifier

California Micro Devices (Milpitas, CA) recently introduced the CMC7106, a CMOS operational amplifier that extends the battery life of electronic devices by reducing the supply current when idle. The CMC7106 includes all the performance attributes of the previously released CMC7101A. In addition, the CMC7106 includes a low power shutdown mode and features the SOT-23 package. The device also features the additional sixth pin which enables a shutdown mode that reduces power consumption to less than 2mW (at 2.7V) and places the device in an idle state. The device is also designed with an easy control interface with microprocessors and CMOS logic. In quantities of 10,000, the CMC7106 is priced at $0.67 each. Samples are currently available.
