Caddock Electronics Intros Type USG Resistors

November 26, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Caddock Electronics Inc. (Riverside, CA) announced its new Type USG, ultra-stable, low temperature coefficient, precision high-voltage resistors developed for use in demanding precision high-voltage applications. The USG is available in three models with voltage ratings (and standard resistance values) of 5kV, 10kV and 15kV. The Type USG resistors are suitable for electron microscopes, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, spectrographic equipment, and other high-voltage power supplies for laboratory, research and industrial applications.

The Type USG uses Caddock's Tetrinox® resistance film system with selected core materials and physical geometry to optimize the low temperature coefficient and ultra-stable performance of the resistors in voltage ratings and resistance values to fit a variety of high-performance, high-voltage systems. The Type USG offers a low temperature coefficient of 10ppm/C, –40 to +85 degrees C, ref to +25 degrees C. The typical resistance change after 1,000 hours at full-rated voltage at 85 degrees C is 0.025 percent, and the maximum change is 0.05 percent.

The Type USG resistors are available now, in stock for engineering samples, with lead times of eight weeks ARO.
