C Series of high voltage power supplies

November 14, 1999 by Jeff Shepard

Emco High Voltage Co. (Sutter Creek, CA) recently introduced the C Series of high voltage power supplies designed to provide a fully regulated and programmable output of up to 6,000V in 1.1 cu.in. According to Emco, these devices are designed to mount directly to the pc board. The units are controlled via a 0V to 5V programming signal and generate 0V to 5,000V or 0V to 6,000V, positive or negative, depending on the model number. The quasi-sinewave oscillator, shielded transformer and steel enclosure result in very low EMI/RFI and ripple, and an externally accessible trim pot allows for individual calibration of units. In quantities of 100, Models C50, C60, C50N (negative output) and C60N are priced under $200 each with small quantities available from stock.
